Great Lakes Airlines 'Flying 4 Food' Campaign a Success

Four hundred pounds of food were donated to local food pantries as a result of the 'Flying 4 Food' campaign.

CHEYENNE, Wyo., August 10, 2010 – Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: GLUX.OB – news) 2nd Annual Flying 4 Food campaign raised over 6 tons of food system wide to donate to local food pantries.

With the support of the local community Prescott raised over 400 lbs of food to donate to the Prescott Community Cupboard. Congratulations to the four local winners who all walked away with a round trip airline ticket, a one night stay at The Comfort Suites in Prescott Valley, a 2-person round of golf at The Club at Prescott Lakes and a meal voucher from Texas Roadhouse. “Great Lakes is proud to have helped out with the fight against hunger in all 59 cities that we serve.  This year we doubled the amount of donations from 2009. We would like to extend our Thanks to all who participated and made the 2nd Annual Flying 4 Food campaign a huge success, “ said Kassi Mohlenkamp, Regional Sales Manager for Great Lakes Airlines.

Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger service at 59 airports in fifteen states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners.  A current route map may be viewed at http://www.flygreatlakes.com/route_map/route_map.htm.
