The H1N1 vaccinations scheduled for tomorrow at Territorial Elementary School will proceed as planned, Terri Farneti from the Yavapai County Health Department confirmed today. There is no charge for this vaccine, but students must bring a consent form signed by a parent or guardian. If you do not have a copy of the consent form, you can download it from the County website: Vaccination Consent Form If your student is covered by health insurance, a copy of the front and back of the card will be appreciated.

Other vaccinations scheduled for the Chino Valley School District include:

November 12: Chino Valley High School

As for the clinic scheduled for Monday at Heritage Middle School and Del Rio Elementary School which was cancelled, it will be rescheduled at a later date to be announced.

For those in the high risk group, that are not local students, a clinic is planned by the Health Department on Saturday, the 14th. According to Farneti, a different location is being considered, but has not been decided upon at this time.

The high risk group includes:

• pregnant women
• people who live with or care for children aged 6 months and younger
• healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
• persons aged 6 months to 24 years (be aware that separate vaccination clinics will be held concurrently for school and college aged children at or near their schools.)
• Persons aged 25-64 who have underlying medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications, e.g., heart disease, asthma, immuno-compromised conditions, diabetes, etc.
