County Assessor Pam Pearsall Explains Notices of Value Explaining the Property Tax Bill You Just Received Understanding the Arizona Property Tax System About That ValuationI'm your County Assessor, Pamela J. Pearsall, and I would like to report to the public that the 2010 Notices of Value were mailed to each property owner on February 01, 2010. To establish yearly Full Cash Values, our office appraises properties using mass appraisal techniques, which allows me, as the Assessor, to maintain current values on large numbers of properties. Each property is initially reviewed and valued, and then they are grouped into similar properties and placed into market areas. Sales in each property's market area are used as the basis for determining its Full Cash Value. I would like all property owners to know that I have made a concerted effort to value property values correctly, however, if you feel that your property has been valued in excess of the market or there is an error in your assessment, please file an appeal with the Assessor's Office no later than 5 p.m. April 2nd 2010. I encourage anyone with questions regarding their Notice of Value, to please contact the Yavapai County Assessor's Office at (928) 771-3220 inPrescott or (928) 639-8121 in Cottonwood. Both offices are open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Offices are closed on weekends and holidays. Also, for your convenience, I have also created an online pamphlet on Property Valuations.
A Quick Note from Gary
