Background photo: Mayor Jim Bunker in Chino Valley.Yavapai College has made a change in its Men’s basketball program. Officials note through careful and prolonged deliberations, the Athletic Department has announced a change in its coaching staff. Effective immediately, Eric Fundalewicz, Assistant Coach of Men’s Basketball, will assume the position of Interim Head Coach until a new Head Coach is hired. Howard Brown, who held the Head Coach position, has been reassigned within the Department to utilize his many skills and abilities to address current needs. According to Director of Athletics Scott Farnsworth, changes like this, while not frequent, are sometimes necessary for the program to progress and move forward in a positive way. He adds the Department eagerly looks forward to what the future may hold for the Men’s Basketball team. The Chino Valley Town Council will hold 3 meetings tonight. At 6, Council will hear a presentation by staff and will hold discussions on budget matters, including an overview of production costs and initial planning and strategies for developing the upcoming fiscal year budget. Following the study session, Council will receive an update and presentation on the status of the Country West Well and equipping the Highland Ranch Well site. Officials have noticed a reduction in water production that requires immediate attention, including system maintenance at the Country Well West site. Council will then meet in a closed executive session to discuss applications and the recruitment process for Town Manager. All three meetings will be held in Council chambers, located on West Palomino Road.
