Prescott Valley Police Arrest Suspect in Stabbing PDF Print E-mail

brandonwhitakerOn March 4th at approximately 10:43 P.M. Prescott Valley Police responded the Yavapai Regional Medical Center East Campus for a report of a delayed stabbing. Officers contacted the 20 year old male victim from Chino Valley, who was being treated for multiple stab wounds.

Through their interview with the victim Officers learned that there had been an altercation at a party in the 6000 block of Tower in The Town of Prescott Valley. Officers responded to the apartment and located blood evidence at the scene. They secured the scene for Criminal Investigation personnel.

Witnesses on scene identified the suspect as 21 year old Brandon Whitaker of Prescott Valley.

Whitaker was not on scene when police arrived but investigators were able to contact him by phone. He gave misleading statements and refused to turn himself in.

On March 5th Whitaker was located in a residence in Prescott Valley and taken into custody.

He was interviewed by Detectives and arrested for one count of aggravated assault and booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.

The victim had been treated at a Phoenix area hospital over the weekend and was expected to be released.
