Bump it!
A good place to start is on the ConstitutionCenter.org website, where they write, "On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by 39 brave men who changed the course of history." There's a movie on the home page you can watch from the History Channel that gives a short background of how the Constitution was written. Want to test your knowledge? Take the Naturalization Test. Wondering which Founder you're most like? Try this. (I'm pleased to report that this author was judged to be most like George Washington.) And you can read the Founding Documents at this link. But, the most important thing you can do, of course, is actually read the Constitution (how long has it been since you read it last?), which can be found here in a printable version. Thanks, Mr. Tenney for a great reminder!

Carl Tenney is one of Chino Valley's newest Councilmembers, having been sworn in officially on June 10. (By law, the actual swearing in takes place 24 hours before taking office.) And last Thursday, September 10, 2009, during the Chino Valley Council Meeting, Tenney reminded citizens that September 17 is Constitution Day, and "encouraged citizens to reflect on the values in the U.S. Constitution."
