One of the top three schools in the country is a BASIS school in Scottsdale.

CNN Tonight explained it like this, "A charter school with a modest goal: revolutionizing the American education system."

The Economist writes, "It is working. The BASIS schools rank at or near the top in most surveys of American public Schools."

...and the list of accolades go on and on for BASIS schools.

The highest rated school in Arizona? Basis Scottsdale with a 100% graduation rate and an average SAT score of 1952. The next highest in Arizona? Basis Tucson, coming in close with a 100% graduation rate and an average SAT score of 1932.

As a matter of fact, in Newsweek's list of "America's Best High Schools 2012" BASIS Scottsdale was ranked at number 3 overall, BASIS Tucson at number 5 overall, reports the Phoenix Business Journal.

Now a local group is exploring the opportunity to bring a BASIS charter school to our community, offering yet one more option for students and parents.

Come hear guest speaker Nick Fleege, BASIS New Schools Development Director at the Prescott Resort on Saturday, July 28 at 10. The event is hosted by the Quad-Cities for BASIS.
