Bump it!
On that date, Sellers and co-defendant William Davis, Jr. first tried to collect a drug debt from a home in Chino Valley, using a handgun and damaging his door. The defendants next approached the residence of Seller’s ex in-laws in Chino Valley. There, Sellers, armed with a handgun, entered the home where the victims lay sleeping. Once inside, Sellers stabbed the first victim in the chest and shot the second victim in the face. Both defendants fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle, stopping at an apartment complex where they switched the license plate with another car in the parking lot. A high speed chase ensued on Fain Road. At a point before Lakeshore Drive, Sellers pulled over and Davis jumped out and was quickly apprehended. Sellers continued down Fain Road with police vehicles displaying lights and sirens in pursuit. Sellers turned off his headlights and continued to drive at speeds in excess of 120 mph, pursued by an ever growing number of police cars. Eventually, just short of Highway 69, Sellers rolled the car totaling it. The victims were both immediately transported to medical facilities where they received emergency care and have both survived. The case involving the co-defendant Davis is still pending at this time.
