Single vehicle accident causes power outage from Chino to Ashfork.

A Saturday morning vehicle accident caused a severe power outage from Chino Valley to Ashfork.

APS crews quickly restored power to all but those in the immediate area after a northbound vehicle crossed over into the opposing lane of traffic and crashed into an electrical box located near Walgreens on Highway 89 and Road 2 North.

The driver of the blue Kia was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, where her condition is currently unknown.

In the meantime, APS workers had their hands full as they attempted to repair the damage to the box, which was completely displaced. APS has sent for a new box, which will be transported from PHoenix, and additional APS workers will be arriving very soon.

As we learn more, we'll pass it on here.
