Paul Ryan gets a big thumbs up from Arizona Repubicans.

Responses are coming in regarding Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's choice of running mate, Representative Paul Ryan.

Congressman and Senatorial candidate Jeff Flake who has worked alongside Paul Ryan for years in Congress, was so pleased he was practically chortling on his Facebook page.

First he wrote, "According to the media tonight, all signs are pointing to Paul Ryan as the VP pick. Talk about a blockbuster move! Paul Ryan is a stellar congressman and would be a GREAT choice for VP."

The next morning, Flake followed it up with, "It's official! It's Paul Ryan!! Bring on the economic adults!!! I've never been so happy to be so wrong. I didn't think Ryan would be chosen. It tells me that Gov. Romney is ready to go on the offensive on debt/deficit and tax reform," writes Flake.

"Bold colors, no pastels here. As a "down ballot" candidate, I'm ecstatic!"

Apparently, it's a mutual admiration thing - Ryan has also endorsed Flake in his senatorial campaign, "Of all the people I have ever known in Congress, the last guy you can call an insider is Jeff Flake," Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., told The Arizona Republic. "There is not a person in Congress that I served with who is more conscientious, more morally clear and honest and straightforward than Jeff Flake."

Senator Jon Kyl added his approval to the selection on Sunday, stating in a press release,

"Paul Ryan Is A Worthy Partner To Tackle America’s Challenges

"Mitt Romney has already shown he has the experience to tackle America’s challenges. Now he has a worthy partner in that effort. Paul Ryan has the pro-growth vision and bold ideas we need to fix Washington and make government smaller, simpler, and smarter. They are exactly the leaders the American people need working for us in the White House."

Governor Jan Brewer also shared her thoughts on Facebook, writing, "While President Obama has taken America down a path of debt and decline, I know that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan both believe in a path for America that will lead to more jobs, less debt and a smaller government.

"Romney and Ryan both have proven records of solving problems, compared to the failure of the Obama Administration."

Congressman Paul Gosar added his approval on Facebook, too, stating, "Paul Ryan is a bold choice for a vice presidential selection by Mitt Romney. His deep understanding of the nation's fiscal challenges make him qualified to assume the second highest post in America. I support the Ryan Budget that turns our fiscal ship around by balancing the budget, reducing spending, and reforming entitlements. My opponent Ron Gould refused to support the Ryan Budget but I look forward to the day when I can vote on it again and President Romney signs it into law."

Speaker Andy Tobin remarked, "My wife, Jennifer and I met Congressman Ryan last fall, and have found him to be a very intelligent and issue-oriended person who is engaged in in the budget process because he wants to leave his children a better nation. He's the perfect guy for the job. He will concentrate on jobs, budgets and debt. About time. Obama hasn't had a budget in three years."

Closer to home, Prescott City Councilman Jim Lamerson says he's very pleased. "It's important to have somebody like Paul Ryan as President of the Senate. Sometimes people forget what an important job that is. I'm glad he picked Ryan, I'm happy."

Lamerson continued to say, "A revolution has started. It's a peaceful revolution, we're doing it through our votes. But, it's coming. The American people have recognized there's a problem. The choice of Ryan polarizes the election and makes it about issues."
