Arizona’s County Recorders have completed their signature validation process and the Secretary of State’s office has informed the Open Government Committee (C-03-2012,) that they have not met the signature requirements for placement on the November 6, 2012 General Election Ballot.
Of the total random sample of 17,932 signatures, a total of 5,291 signatures were invalidated by the county recorders resulting in a failure rate of 29.51 per cent. The actual number of remaining signatures for such initiative petition number C-03-2012 is below the minimum required by the constitution to place a measure on the general election ballot.
