On Saturday, October 20, 2012 at about 1:30 in the afternoon a family of 4 were in their vehicle traveling on the Fort Rock Road at Via De Oro in the Bridge Canyon west of Seligman when they noticed a man in a pick-up behind them honking the horn. The father of the family was driving the first vehicle and soon pulled over to see what was going on.
The driver of the second vehicle got out of the pick-up and walked toward the family's vehicle. The father saw that the man was holding a semi-automatic hand gun and immediately pulled away at a high rate of speed. The man with the gun began shooting at the vehicle. Witnesses think he shot 5 or 6 times. Luckily no one was injured and the family got away.
