Congratulations to Patrick Dalcerro!

Congratulations to Chino Valley's Patrick Dalcerro! (His friends call him Patch.)

Tonight (that's Friday!) Dalcerro became the first wrestler from Chino Valley to win a State Championship!

Dalcerro wrestles in the 170 lb. weight class. 

Way to go, Patrick!

An Opportunity for Local Government to Save $$$

Right now, there's a proposal in the House Technology and Infrastructure Committee that would allow local governments to save thousands of dollars every year. 

It would allow Public Notices to be placed online or in print media, breaking the monopoly currently enjoyed by printed newspapers.

Of course, the newspapers aren't very excited about this, and are putting a lot of pressure on the legislators.

Major Power Outage Reported

Power has been restored to most APS customers and traffic has been returned to normal.However, it's going to be a while before the damage is completely repairs.


A reader has reported a major power outage in Chino Valley due to a vehicle accident on Hwy. 89 near the Safeway. 

Power is reported to be out in spots from Chino Valley to Ashfork.

Also, Jeff Flake has noted that he's proud to sit next to Gabby Gifford one last time in the House, and has co-sponsored a bill with her, which she will vote on as her last action in Congress.
