Did you know that October is designated as Adopt a Shelter Dog month? 

Here in the quad-city communities, we've got several shelters and organizations that have pets available for adoption.

You can often find adoptable pets at community events such as parades or courthouse activities - look for the bright orange coat they're wearing. Also, PetsMart and PetCo offer adoptable pets on specified days, check with those stores. 

Additionally, there are several "Adopt a [insert breed here]" organizations throughout the state. Search online for more information.
