The Sundogs are always eager to volunteer their time and good will on behalf of our youth.” Sundogs fans, in response to a call to action by the team in mid-August, donated school supplies to be used by local school districts and their students. Among the donated supplies were spiral notebooks, 3-ring binders and subject dividers, colored pencils, markers and blue and black pens. “It’s clear that Sundogs fans care about their community and take every opportunity to give back,” noted Arizona Sundogs Director of Business Operations Bill Yates. “We called on them and they responded. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their help in supporting the schools that play such an important role in the lives of the children that call Northern Arizona home.” Throughout the month of September, Sundogs players and team mascot Burnie visited schools and presented each district with $1,000 and a portion of school supplies collected and purchased by the Arizona Sundogs Foundation.
