ADOT Recommends Child IDs and Kids Love Them!

The Thomas family was planning their first "flying" vacation with the kids. Despite their excitement, they were just a bit nervous about the "what ifs" while traveling with their "flying newbies" who have never been through a major airport and out of their comfort zone. When Melissa Thomas heard about the ADOT approved Child ID cards offered at FooteWork Auto License and Title Service, she thought it would be a good idea for her son Hayden and daughter Bryley to have Child IDs for the trip.

"It seemed like a good idea and another layer of protection for our kids," said Thomas. "We were excited about our trip, but just a little nervous about our first time flyers. What if they got lost in the airport, or somewhere else while out of town? My husband and I felt the Child ID was another layer of protection and added some peace of mind," said Melissa Thomas.

"FooteWork had us in and out quickly. It was a great experience!" - Melissa Thomas.

Melissa works for the family business, Arrowhead Water in Prescott and her husband owns Mile High Networks, also in Prescott.

Why Child IDs are a Good Idea

ADOT recommends that all children have an Arizona ID Card.

  • An Arizona ID card with a photo enables law enforcement agencies to distribute your child's information and photograph in the event of an AMBER Alert (child abduction alert bulletin) more rapidly.
  • An Arizona ID card can help protect your child against identity theft.
  • Having an Arizona ID card can make it easier for your child to travel and enroll in school or activities.
  • A new photo will be needed as your child grows and changes.
