New stores come to Prescott Gateway Mall

PRESCOTT – Prescott Gateway Mall is pleased to announce the addition of two new merchants:  SolarWorks and Games People Play, both set to open the first week of February. In addition, See's Candies, with its popular nut and chew treats, returns for Valentine's Day shoppers Feb. 3 through 14.

Tired of high utility bills? SolarWorks is an established Cottonwood company, specializing in the fast growing solar energy and water heating fields.  The company looks forward to serving the Tri-Cities area from its new cart location, where it will provide a photo gallery of installations, a video presentation, and even a Solar Doll House.   SolarWorks will show consumers how to make the sun work for them to reduce utility bills.  Individuals can learn about VA and FHA eligibility, plus zero down leasing and finance options.

"We have been a member of the Yavapai County Contractors Association and now also are a proud member of the Prescott Valley and Prescott Chambers of Commerce," said Peter Carlson, Sales & Marketing Director of SolarWorks.  "We are committed to being an active business partner in the communities we serve."

Ready for a game room at home? Games People Play has been in business since 1978 and carries a full line of slot machines, video poker machines, and a selection of more than 300 pool tables.  The firm also carries pinball games, video games and gaming tables, Texas Hold'em, blackjack, crap tables and poker tables, as well as dart boards and supplies. Co-Owner Mark DeRosa says, "Our goal has always been to sell a good product at a reasonable price. That's what has made us the largest retail outlet on the west coast."

Need a chocolate fix or candy gift idea?  Linda Kingsbury, store manager for See's Candies, encourages buyers to shop early for best selection, since many of the favored candies sell out in the first few days, no matter how many are stocked.

Sue Marceau, Marketing Manager for Prescott Gateway Mall, notes that leasing inquiries are on the rise as the economy improves. "We are pleased to welcome our two new businesses – and the returning See's Candies – to the largest mall in Arizona's high country and look forward to announcing more merchants as soon as we sign them.  Our leasing team is in the midst of several negotiations."
