Arizona Capitol Roadshow Coming to Prescott Friday

The Arizona Capitol Times Roadshow is coming to Prescott this Friday.

Senate President Steve Pierce and Speaker of the House Andy Tobin will be in attendance at this free event, sponsored by the Arizona Capitol Times. Designed to help "...educate Arizonans about the legislative process. Our mission, as a non-partisan newspaper and media company, is to share information with our clients, subscribers and readers, to help them make decisions on what unfolds at the Capitol. Our team of experts, staff and lawmakers will visit Flagstaff, Tucson, Prescott and Maricopa County."

Curious about how a bill becomes law, and how you can get involved? Want to know what striker bills are and how they're utilized? What's the budget process, and how did redistricting affect the upcoming elections?

Answers to questions like these and much more will be provided.

There will also be a media panel with local media representatives, including Courier Editor Tim Wiederanders and eNewsAZ Publisher Lynne LaMaster.

This panel discussion will help understand the tactics and strategies behind running a successful grassroots campaign.

Learn how the state budget process unfolds, the latest on the new districts at the state and federal level and what you can expect in the upcoming election.

Media Panel – What's happening at the Capitol, what to expect, redistricting and much more
With the upcoming November election and new districts in Arizona, this will be a very important time for the state's political climate. This media panel will discuss what to expect and how these changes will impact Arizonans. They will also address social media and how it could become a power player in politics.
