Forecast Discussion: Temperatures have been below normal the nearly a week now as troughing, associated with a cool airmass, has been in place over Arizona. Morning lows at the airport hit record values for this time of year, with temps. of 38, 34, and 36 on Sat., Sun., and Mon. mornings, respectively. The upper-level low pressure has now drifted east of Arizona, leading to scattered showers and thunderstorms in the eastern half of Arizona. Skies will clear and temperatures will rise back to normal or above normal for the coming weekend. C. James
