Be cautious if shopping for Cyber Monday. Now that the Thanksgiving holiday is over, work is resuming on City of Prescott reconstruction projects.  Crews will be installing new storm drain along Butterfield Road, from Robinson Drive to Canyon View Street.  Robinson is closed to through traffic between East Gurley Street and Moore Place. Crews are also installing sidewalks, driveway entrances and curb and gutter from East Gurley to Flatau Drive.  Work hours are today through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm. As part of the Zone 16 Tank, Pump Station and Water Main Project, crews are performing grading operations for retaining wall construction and installing new storm drain along Haisley Road, from Senator Highway to Valley Ranch Circle.  Haisley is closed to through traffic between Rim Trail and Northwood  Loop.  Crews are also installing the building foundation and performing underground work for the new pump station, which will be located at the end of Virginia Street.  Work hours are 7 am to 7 pm today through Friday.   Use caution if you plan on doing online shopping on Cyber Monday.   According to Better Business Bureau officials, many retailers now have chip card readers and as a result, fraud at brick and mortar stores is down, so scammers are shifting their efforts online.  Consumers should use a credit, not debit card online and only shop on secure websites.  Look for https in the address and a lock symbol.   Since people tend to shop based on what celebrities are wearing or using, scammers will try to lure them to click on links for free products using a celebrity’s name, free concerts, free games and more.  If it sounds too good to be true, don’t click on it.  Since kids and teens haven’t established a credit history or have no blemishes on their credit report, hackers are always on the lookout for their information.  Hackers can get credit cards, loans and more in your child’s name.  Parents should talk to their kids about the importance of not giving out personal information in emails or on social media.  The Prescott City Council meets at 1 tomorrow afternoon to discuss a possible relocation of the downtown Post Office’s retail services.  The U.S. Postal Service is considering moving those services to a yet to be determined location.  A Postal Service representative will be on hand to address the need for relocation, outline the proposal under consideration and explain the process for soliciting and considering input from the community.  Also during tomorrow’s meeting at City Hall on South Cortez Street, Council will hear a presentation on the results of the completed water, wastewater and solid waste rate study.  There will be 2 public workshops on the study at 6 tomorrow night and on December 4th, also in Council chambers.
