Karen Fann to Turn in 1056 Signatures on Tuesday

Fann turns in petition signatures for her re-election bid.

Prescott, Arizona, May 14, 2018, Arizona Senator Karen Fann announced she will be filing 1,056 signatures in her re-election bid for Legislative District 1 on Tuesday by noon. LD1 covers 8,000 square miles throughout Yavapai County and portions of Maricopa County. Senator Fann currently serves as Vice-chair of Senate Finance, Banking & Insurance Committee and is on the Appropriations Committee. Earlier this session, Fann was also on the Commerce an Public Safety Committee, Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee and the Transportation and Technology Committee.

During her 8 years of service in the House and Senate, Karen has successfully sponsored over a hundred bills such as funding for all day kindergarten; no texting for teenage drivers; workers compensation fraud, prevention and opioid abuse; creation of the Yarnell Hill Hotshot State Park; rain water harvesting and economic development.

As a result of her work she has received over 25 legislative awards such as Capitol Times Leader in Public Policy; League of Cities & Towns Champion; Legislator of the Year Arizona Manufacturers Council; Governors Tech Senator of the Year; Golden Apple Award for Education; and Best Elected Republican Official.
