$500 REWARD OFFERED FOR BURGLARY SUSPECT***
The Chino Valley Police Department is asking for your help in identifying and/or locating a burglary suspect.
On Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 at 11:30 a.m., officers from the Chino Valley Police Department responded to a Burglary in Progress call in the 1200 block of Essex Way in Chino Valley. A homeowner reported she heard her dog barking and went to investigate. She confronted the burglar in her kitchen. The burglar chased the victim into her bedroom and pushed her against a wall before fleeing out the backdoor. The victim suffered cuts to her leg when a large picture fell off the wall, breaking the glass frame. The victim’s young child who was also in the home at the time of the intrusion, was unharmed.
The suspect is described as a white male subject in his 20-30’s, thin build, light brown hair, wearing work boots, blue jeans and a white or cream-colored Nike pullover type sweat shirt. The victim also reported stains on the suspect’s pants and shoes similar to concrete or drywall plaster. Detectives believe the suspect may have been performing work in the neighborhood prior to the burglary.
At this time, the police are requesting assistance from the public in identifying this suspect. He was last seen running east from the victim’s residence. Police are requesting that anyone in the area review their home security cameras and contact them should they see anything suspicious or anyone matching the suspect’s description.
