Prescott Realtors Donate To Support Tough Enough To Wear Pink

PRESCOTT, AZ - - Representatives from the Prescott Area Association of Realtors (PAAR) Board of Directors met with members of Prescott Frontier Days on Monday, Dec. 16 to present a donation for Tough Enough to Wear Pink of $566. The funds were raised as part of PAAR’s Annual Installation through a 50/50 raffle.

“I love my Rodeo family and I Love my PAAR family as well and this is why,” said 2019 PAAR President-Elect Jeff Bashaw. He was joined by PAAR CEO Amanda Creel, Treasurer Jennifer McMahon, and Director Steve Irwin. Representing Prescott Frontier Days were President Chris Graff, Secretary Mary Ann Suttles, and Tough Enough to Wear Pink Committee Chair Dee Graff.

“On behalf of the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo, we’re extremely excited to find that the (Prescott Area) Association of Realtors was donating over $500 to us,” said Mary Ann Suttles. “Normally we don’t receive that kind of money unless we’re having a rodeo, so this was quite a surprise.”

Founded in 2004, Tough Enough to Wear Pink provides a nationally-recognized campaign and framework for rodeos and western events to help them promote breast cancer awareness and fundraising to benefit their local communities.


Prescott Realtors Donate Money And Food For Yavapai Food Bank

PRESCOTT, AZ - - Members of the leadership for Prescott Area Association of Realtors (PAAR) presented a donation check of $1,800 to Yavapai Food Bank at the association’s annual Christmas Party on Friday, Dec. 13. In addition to this, a silent auction held raised $1,432, with $282 in individual donations from attendees and 300 lbs. of nonperishable food items collected as part of a food drive for Yavapai Food Bank.

“We really appreciate what PAAR does for Yavapai Food Bank each year and their outstanding loyalty and support for us and all our families we help,” said Yavapai Food Bank manager Lynn Passfield.

“It is a privilege to support Yavapai Food Bank,” said PAAR President Elect Jeff Bashaw. “As Realtors we have a duty to make a difference. Helping make sure families are fed is just a small part of our mission to build a better community.” Besides Bashaw, PAAR CEO Amanda Creel, Treasurer Jennifer McMahon, Property Management Director Diane Tenison, and Affiliate Liaison Emily Denny also presented the check to Lynn.

PAAR’s Affiliate Council organized the party and its activities, and as Affiliate Liaison Emily Denny represents them in the PAAR leadership. “I am so thankful to be a part of PAAR! The turnout at the event was phenomenal, we truly saw a great group of Realtors and Affiliates come together to celebrate the true meaning of the holidays,” said Emily after the party. “I cannot say enough, how thankful I am for everyone that participated and made the event so great!”

The Prescott Area Association of Realtors is a nonprofit trade association that provides more than 1800 Realtors with a local multiple listing service, educational opportunities, and other resources to help its members provide unparalleled service and professionalism to their customers.
