Traveling Vietnam Wall Arrives in Prescott

19 March 2015   Lynne LaMaster
The Traveling Vietnam Wall arrived in Prescott on Wednesday, as preparations were made for a Thursday morning setup.

This promises to be a weekend to focus on veterans and first responders in the quad-city area, with the arrival of the Traveling Wall and the Salute to Heroes event at the Prescott Valley Event Center.

Escorted from Dewey-Humboldt by over a hundred Patriot Guard members on motorcycles, the Traveling Wall was respectfully ushered through Prescott Valley to it’s destination at Prescott Gateway Mall.

The Traveling Vietnam Wall is an 80% scaled tribute to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC and it features the names of each man and woman who died in duty to their country. The Traveling Wall was created in the USA, and engraved by a USMC Vietnam Veteran. It is meant to provide those without the means or ability to travel to the National Memorial in Washington, DC.
