Chino Valley Man Arrested on Sex Trafficking Charges

Sex Abuse and Sex Trafficking Arrest

On July 13, 2017 the Chino Valley Police Department arrested, 43 year old Chino Valley resident, Leon Taylor on charges of Sex Trafficking of a minor, Sex Trafficking, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Conduct with a minor and Sexual Exploitation of a minor.

The investigation into Leon Taylor indicates he utilized several adult females and one juvenile female as prostitutes not only for his own personal use but also to at least one other adult male.

These activities have been occurring since December of 2016 in Chino Valley. At this time Chino Valley Police Department is processing video, photographic, computer and other records. The investigation is ongoing. We ask that anyone with additional information please contact the Chino Valley Police Department and ask to speak to Detective Amy Chamberlin.

Leon Taylor was arrested and booked into Yavapai County Jail on the above listed charges. At least one of the females involved in this investigation has been returned to her parents in another state with the assistance of a local non-profit organization who handled logistics as well as funding for the return.

Sex Trafficking is a heinous crime. The victims aren’t property like those involved would like to think, these victims are our daughters and sisters.
