Dewey-Humboldt considers Town Manager Candidates

The Town of Dewey-Humboldt could soon be under new leadership. At 6 tonight, the Dewey-Humboldt Town Council will meet to discuss the appointment of a new Town Manager. Council is scheduled to convene into a closed session to discuss the applicants, who include John Cassella, William Lawrence, Richard Marsh Junior, John Schempf, Michael Seibert and Thomas Wilson. Council will then reconvene into open session to consider the appointment of one of the candidates. Whoever is hired will take over for Yvonne Kimball, who resigned in June. Lee Elliott is serving in the interim. The Dewey-Humboldt Town Council meeting will be held at Town Hall on Highway 69.

Three Camp Verde residents have been arrested after they allegedly stole 3 dirt bikes and a 4 wheel ATV.

The bikes were taken during the early morning hours on October 16th at D and K Service Cycle and ATV on Highway 260 in Cottonwood. With assistance from the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office, Cottonwood Police have arrested 24 year old Taylor Diaz, 35 year old Gregory Holm and 26 year old Ashley Campos for burglary and theft. Diaz was out on bond after the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office had arrested him on several counts of burglary, theft and other related charges. Cottonwood police say a red 2003 Honda dirt bike with a unique Thor decal on the back hasn’t been recovered. Anyone who has information on this stolen bike is asked to call Cottonwood Police at (928) 649-1397 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
